Book time is 3 hours, plus around a tenner for the belt.

I suggest you change more than just the belt. It's wise to replace the tensioner, idler wheel (if you have it), crankshaft sprocket (300TDi), timing cover dust seal, crank front oil seal, and all gaskets - water pump (200TDi), and timing cover.

The tensioner tends to be a bit worn anyway and if it fails it'll chuck the belt off, so It's a wise precautionary measure to replace it at the same time - same with the idler wheel. Gasket/s are a necessity anyway and it's quite common for the crank seal to be weeping a bit as well. The timing cover dust seal is again replaced as a precautionary measure.
