Blimey, had my ears syringed today ... didn't realise quite how deaf I had become.
Heard the defender properly for the first time, till now I thought I'd bought a really quiet landy, but what a racket! tdi lump clattering away, accompanied by all manner of wheezing, squealing, clunking, rattling - sounded just like my S3!
And how do I turn the volume down on this keyboard...?:goofylook

That's what I love about the s3 - if I say 'what?' more than twice she just gives up and starts talking to the dog. nuff said:buck:

Bernie. when did you last do an oil change on the defender?? maybe it is due for a bit of TLC, and it is just letting you know....
Or, maybe it has been having some fun during the night with the S1...

Tis overdue right enough - had a service September last year, then was due one in March but as the guy was selling it (to me!) I don't think he bothered. whoops...
Brownie's next (MOT/service December) so he's next up for TLC, but maybe Magna needs to jump the queue some time before his MOT next March :p

We were shocked at the difference it made to ours when I changed the oil an filter. In fact changed all the oils in gear boxes and axles.

Bernie, mine gets oil and filter every 6,000 miles. Makes no difference, just turn the radio up and worry when the thing stops.
