A niggle. Unless I'm being really thick, the screenwash reservoir is hidden from view, so you can't check it and top it up, you just have to wait for it to run out. Is that right?

I just topped it up and a kind of yellow marker seemed to rise to the top of the filler tube when it was full. Is this meant to be some kind of indicator? I've found no mention of it in any of the manuals or handbooks, and you can only really see it when the tube is full (= useless)

yeah cars i've had which have the yellow float work like that, basically when you check the level if you can't see the float add some more, never seen one on a disco 2 but the ones i have seen work ok

It might be a differnt place on a TD5 to my V8 but the cap on mine has a length of plastic on it that reaches towards the bottom of the tank berried in the wing you cant see anything of the tank its self you undo the lid and see where the wet its on the plastic ...

CHeers guys, yep I found out all about the yellow float in the workshop manual in the end, I'll see if I can make that work for me. Might need new glasses :D

Really the kind of info that ought to be in the owner's handbook though
