Morning all. I have a 1997 300tdi disco with a strange problem.
During our long scottish days in summer I never have any need to use my headlights but as soon as the clocks changed I had to switch on the lights. Full beam was perfict but dipped was only on passenger side so I thought new bulb was needed. However by the time Saturday came for the visit to Halfords both dipped lights had started to work. No need for bulb.:D I think probably an earthing problem? Also in the summer time the headlight washers were not working but with the wet summer it wasn't a problem. However, when I had on dipped beam (now working) the headlight washers WORK:D When lights are out no washers:( Lights on = washers:D Any thoughts where I start? Also while I am asking questions I dont have fog lights fitted but the wiring to them I think is there but which button on the dash does the other end go to if I wanted to fit lights? Any help would be appreciated.

I would still pulll the bulbs as the filament could be detached one end and swinging about hence the reason it now works.

I had a 200 that burnt out the plug that goes on the back of the bulb.

My current Td5 headlight washers only work with the headlights.

Yes late 300 have wiring for foglights in place the instruuctions relay switchs etc come with the kit.

Fitted the kit to a 94 300 which did not have the wiring so had to add my own.

I think the switch was on the binnacle.
