D2 Subwoofer Upgrade

The Harman Kardon stereo fitted to my D2 ES lacks low down bass (in my view), despite there being two sub units on the tailgate.

Does anyone know of an upgrade that is doable? Its not so bad that I'd want to cut huge holes and fit a teenagers bass unit.... just wondered if anything could be done to give the bass a bit more grunt.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Car toys will build a box and dynamat the Taildoor where the existing subs are.

Oh that's interesting. Very glad that someone has developed a proper enhancement. Should improve it no end.
