Morning chaps,
I hope someone can offer some guidance to solve a problem I have at the minute.
I am setting up a car pickup/delivery service using a Discovery 2 (2002) TD5
I sent it to have a modular (analogue) tacho fitted on tuesday, but after having the vehicle for 48hrs, the tacho fitting company have admitted defeat and have given me the car back.
The problem, i am told is the voltage from the speedo sender.. The tacho is expecting 12v and the speedo is working on millivolts.
I asked the obvious question about putting some kind of amp inline to up the voltage to something the tacho could use, but they said that neither they, not the tacho manufacturer could come up with anything to do the job
I think the device in question was a VDO modular tacho
I dont believe I can go for a digital tacho (nor would I want to at the price) so really need to find a solution...
can anyone help??????
Thanks
Graham
