rear suspension knock/bang

Hi all
Just upgraded to a 2001 td4 and registered with this site. Totally chuffed with it..apart from one niggle. When I go over bumps(worse on speed bumps) I'm getting a heavy knocking niose from the nearside rear. I've checked chassis bolts, bushes, exhaust mounts etc...
Are the shockies known for early doors failure?? only done 50k
Has anyone come across this problem as it has us stumped.

Whats the deal with running a 4 on veggie oil diesel mix?

Check the condition of the rear diff support bearings/bushes.
Check the condition of the FRONT anti-roll bar mountings (sounds daft I know)

My rear shockers have done 88k and seem reasonable, but it could depend on what the vehicle has been used for before, such as heavy towing.

Veggie diesel is recommended as no more than 5% but have heard of some going up to 10%.
