Couple of questions for anyone that knows:
I have a td5 that started to loose power the other day at high revs. Almost as if the turbo isn't working. No smoke and it isn't the waste gate sticking.
I now believe it is the MAF sensor.
1) I unplugged it and went around the block. All of a sudden she pulls like a train again. How can this be?
2) I know it is expensive to replace from dealers. Is there not a generic sensor that can replace it. Surely most other cars use a similar sensor?
3) I don't suppose you can do any damage driving around with the sensor unplugged?
Lets hope someone out there has the answers!!!
