3.9 v8 bat light stays on when car switched off!!

Hi my 93 3.9v8 battery light stays on when the car is switched off!! when the car is on the light is off any ideas as i am stuck!!

You should have the terminals with nuts on, not a plug. Take the small wire off, if the light goes out, you need to get the alternator repaired. I can't remember if it's the regulator that has failed or a blown diode, but either way it needs looking at.
