Have a few questions regarding a 92' Discovery 3.5 V8i Efi. .

1) are discoveries permenant 4 wheel drive ?

2) When i start it up anytime, i have to wait for a relay to click before it will fire up, if i dont it will turn over for a good 5-10 seconds before firing, coudl the fuel pump be on its way out ?

3) How easy would it be to supercharge it :D:D

Number 3 is silly i know but i am just curious

Thanks

Ayden

Hi,
1) Yes.
Drive is directed top all 4 wheels all of the time but the centre differential (between front and rear prop-shafts) is normally set to 'open'. The differential in each axle is 'open' too. So, in effect, you need only one wheel off-the-ground and all the drive will go to that wheel. And you will be going nowhere!
2) Dunno!
The delay that you are experiencing is the time it takes for the glow-plugs to heat-up the combustion chambers, ready for that first injection of cold diesel.
3) Very!
But anything is possible: Keep searching via Google etc.
Cheers.
