Hi, anyone have experience of fitting a parrot or similar to a TD5? It has the landrover casette tape head unit, with the land rover decal on the tape lid.
The three most important things are:
1) How do I get the radio out of the dash?
2) Do I need to order any adapters with the unit?
3) Which unit would you recommend the most?

Cheers

to fit the handsfree you dont need to remove the radio.
The plug you need to tap into (to mute the radio) is under the steering wheel.

When i get chance i will check the colour wire you need to tap into.

I know this as i fitted a car phone system to mine last year.

The Parrot was a straight fit to my 2000MY D2. No adaptor reqd. The Parrot MUST be plugged into the rear of the unit.
Will post further info later with pics.

Parrot is a straight fit onto a D1 too, if using the original radio......
