I'm in the process of trying to take off the engine under tray to swap over the IRD and VC.
The 2 nearside bolts holding the tray on are well rounded, have tried mulgrips, tried a chisel to loosen them in the direction of thread, also a bolt extractor but the bolt heads are not long enough for the tool to get enough grip so it just slips off.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Seems stupid that I cant even get the tray off that should only take 5 minutes to do!!!!

Weld on a washer, followed by a larger bolt that you can get a decent sized spanner/socket onto.
No welder?.. using 2 blades in a hacksaw, cut a slot (if get-atable) and employ impact driver.
Good luck!
Mike.

Thanks for all the help, had a welder round, the problem was solved in 30 minutes, only cost £35, not bad considering it was New Years Eve.
