Renault Koleos

This is the Renault version of the Nissan Qashqai

Koleos is based on the Nissan X-Trail and has similar proportions. Although Qashqai is based on the X-Trail, it has a lower 4x4 functionality. Koloes looks like a crossover vehicle, but is actually very a capable 4x4. I drove 2 prototypes in Korea last November close to the Samsung Motors plant where the car will be built and it combines the on-road manners on the Honda CRV and off-road capability of an X-Trail.

UK sales are set to start in July this year.

Are X-Trails any good off road? My Mum's got the older model and I always tease her about it being a chelsea tractor :D

Having owned and driven a Freebie, I preferred the old X-Trail and rated it higher than RAV4 and all the other SUVs.

I'd say cars of that size are more like a Chelsea ride-on mowers than tractors though!
