Hiya foks,

I'm Marti, im 31 and from Central Scotland. I'm not new to 4x4's but im new to british 4x4's, all my others were jap.
So this is my first 'real' 4x4, a dirty great v8 RR Classic and I love it! Only problem now is, I only had her 2 months and a boy racer in a VW golf stepped out infront of me at a roundabout and wrote it off...........anyway I'm currently rebuilding her. Shes a cracker, an 88/F classic with gen 54k miles on the clock with all the old MOT's to prove and a full RRSH. Its a 3.5 vogue EFI auto.......umm, thats me done babbling fer now, bye!

Well, his car almost got fully out of the junction (as you can see from the point of impct on mine) and I clipped the offside rear quarter panel of his. His car done a pretty little 180 spin and him and his friends had to clamber out of the passenger side, his door was jammed solid. Mine drove home, his had to be uplifted

Ooops.

I'll bet they all came out of the car wearing 'brown' cords

It'll live again! Mine looked a lot worse than that after an argument with a lampost (No I wasn't driving).

Is yours old enough to have a bolted together front end? If so your lucky! It took a mate of mine the best part of a year to put EGB back together in his spare time.

Umm, I think so, its an '88 model. Last time I looked under the bonnet there was bolts holding the outer wings to the inners, but I was told that new inners require welding on, I'm unsure of this as I spent most of my 4x4 days in 'zukis. This is my first brit vehicle.

They all have bolts holding the outer wings on! If you've got bolts holding the INNER wings on you're in luck, as repair is a big mechano kit! Otherwise you'll be needing a few spot weld drills........

It was the reason I got her, the li'l zukis didnt quite have the pace, thet are incredibly nimble little machines, but when I got the rangie and hit a steep incline, I tended to use momentum in zukis case, but the v8 grunt doesnt move the ragie, it moves the earth under its wheels lol........what a buzz, and no fighting with gears, the auto box is bliss:yay: :yay:
