Nearly got my certificate!

After about a four/five month wait, I've finally just been interviewed for my firearm and shotgun certificate (better late than never). The interview didn't take too long seeing as my Dad's had guns for years, so the house has already been inspected for security etc. All went well and Mr Policeman said I can expect my licence in about 12 weeks! :)

I'll be getting a .22 rimfire, possibly a Ruger semi-auto like my Dad's but I want to try a selection. Anyone got any recommendations?

Congratulations.

I gave mine up, the red tape was just far too much hassle. I preferred pistol shooting anyway.

I had a Ruger 10/22. You won't go wrong with one of those.

My certs came through yesterday! Only took 6 weeks, half the time I was told it'd take :eek: and they havn't even made any mistakes on the FAC. I'm buying my mate's Ruger 10/22 which has got some nice upgrades on it, a good scope and moderator too :)

always liked the remington for the .22.. i have a remington viper, bit old now as i have had it over 10 years, but never let me down, or the bunnies/opossum :D
