I think you'll find they all do it!!!
Some say after 50 years you would think they could sort it out.
Others say it's been like it for so long, why worry?

Hi
I live in Brightons just down the road from you.
I had the same problem with my 2003 model and traced it to a leaking sunroof. The seal between the sunroof frame and roof had failed and I had to remove both sunroofs to reseal then and I have had no more problems.
You have to remove the headlining to get the sunroofs out.
Cheers

Mark pull the panel out and try to see where the water is coming from, if its coming from heater fan have a look at the wiper panel under the bonnet.

My last 300 leaked from a wiring grommet on the bulkhead which had same symptons as yours.

Not sure if the screens leak like the tdi used to?

Check the drain tubes between heater trunking and transmission tunel. On mine they blocked and water appeared to come in from just about evereywhere on the front of the beast.

I too also have a problem like this. I have wet floors on both sides. Seems like there is a plug or rivet that is leaking on mine. Also the are some l brackets that support the dash on both sides and they seem to be leaking from on top of the bracket. Water seems to sweat out of it. I just picked my disco up, first land rover ever and I wondered what that smell was. Wasn't strong really, but odd. After some digging found the water and a rusty passenger side floor well and soaked foam. cut the foam out as that was much of the odor cause. Now need to fix the leaks. I think I will pull the body panels off and see what's up. Sounds like it is coming in from there. Also noticed a seam on the drivers side right above the bracket that was weeping too......anyone else have these kind of leaks?

Any pointers on taking the wings off? Does the bumper have to come off? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Pete
