New pump I believe, it is on a 200 anyhow. Mine went in the Sahara 3 years ago. They're cheap enough though, Britpart is as good as any. My genuine LR one was 5 months old when it went kaput, Britpart one that I replaced it with in France has been back to the desert twice and is still ok.

Some of the cheaper water pumps don't last very long - Gen is more expensive, but more reliable. I don't have a specific thread for replacing the water pump, but some of this thread may help-

Very straightforward to do. Whilst you're at it, you may considor putting new top & bottom hoses on at the same time and perhaps even a new thermostat.

If you're going to empty the cooling system you might as well do the lot, right?

Sorry Les, only stating what I know, but at £147 for a genuine one that lasted for 5 months, fitted by LR too, and a Britpart pump at £63 in France, I think the Britpart one has done pretty well.
If you know better then who am I to argue?

I think with genuine you are more likely to get a decent one, but with Britpart you are more likely to get a rubbish one. £147 for a pump is way too much - I paid £46 for a genuine pump from Bearmach.

Just to quote my own experience - I bought a Britpart water pump for about £23 for my wife's Disco TDi200, 2 yrs ago and 'touch wood', it works fine.
