CB radio question

I am thinking about getting a CB radio for green laneing. I currently have a decent set of PMR radios, they work OK but the range is very limited, when inside a car. But they are great for family use when you get split up on holiday and stuff.

So is a CB worth buying and do people still use them for anything else but green laneing. I had one back in the early 1980's, it was a lot of fun, but things have changed a lot since then :D.

Great for lanning, have mine switched on when driving on the motorways and you hear some chatter of the truckers, get some hints on traffic :) Also now and then I have had a chat with some people local to me, usually just testing the set up before I go away or something.

But biggest bonus is when your on your own in your truck following othe rpeople lanning, makes it a lot more pleasent :)
