Hi all,
One for the anoraks - what is the fuel filter bolt size on a Discovery 1? Will it be 3/4"-16 ..........whatever that is?

If you managed to answer this, you might also be the dying breed who might be able to answer my other question on Discovery fuel pressures and flow rates - please have a look :P

Yup the thread is 3/4" 16 if you mean the filter thread - its the same as the rover v8 filter as to the fuel pressure and flow - not got a scooby

Being nosy what do you need the info for?

Thank you mate, I just KNEW one of you guys would come thru!

OK, We are putting together a 100" Lightweight. While it is being designed, I figured might as well install a veggy oil/Biodiesel capability using the twin tanks.

So....I need a HEATED fuel filter system. I can get hold of a heated system from a VW OIL FILTER MOUNTED COOLER and was thinking of modding it for fuel filtration.

Next Q: Is the 200Tdi FUEL FILTER the same thread as the oil filter???!

Warmest Regards
Udhi

Fairly sure the fuel filter is a metric thread (m14 i think)- for a heated one look at the renault/peugots as they take the same filter and some came with a heated filter - have seen it done this way

That is the problem - I am aware some pugs, Citroens, Renault and maybe an LDV have heated fuel filters. BUT, I am not sure which model despite looking high and low. Breakers will not volunteer information due to the small profit margins, they are not going to go elbow deep in the grease to find out for me. :D

Reminds me: If ANYONE knows exact makes and models of vehicles to root thru for heated filters, pls let me know :P
