Are there anyone that knows whats wrong with my ventilation blower, works only at full speed.
One this Dicovery from 2003 there is a electronic control of the blower speed.
The display regulator indicator says speed 1-2-3-4 but there is now air coming from the blower.
On step 5 the blower are running for full trottle.
Has anyone heard about problems like this??

not on the disco, but had one go on a seat ibiza (a week before i sold it ug) and on a fiesta I used to have.
Its probably the resistor pack which is usually found on the blower motor, buried under the dash.. Probably cheap parts but a nightmare of a job!

On the Rovers, 25, 45 + 75 and the hundreds series the resistor pack is always to blame. It's a real Heath Robinson bit of kit too made up from nothing more than resistor wire. The highest speed, 4 on the Rovers, is direct power drive so never fails due to the resistor pack but when the pack fails a good indicator to it's problems is speed 4 still working.;)
The resistor pack gets quite warm so is situated behind the glove box and inside the blower ducting but is easily released by removing two screws. The Discovery will no doubt be very similar.
The repair is to solder in new ceramic resistors which cost the amazing price of 40p each from Maplins whilst the official Rover repair is much more expensive.
I can't imagine the Discovery being much different.
