Hi guys'n'gals
Me 300tdi M reg 3 door has decided not to lock or unlock via remote anymore. If I press the remote the indicators flash & the alarm arms/disarms but none of the doors lock.
Further to this I cannot lock the drivers door manually and have to lock it from the pass side by pushing the button down. I also have to lock the passenger door & tailgate with the key.
I have checked the fuse & it's fine.
Just wondered if this is a common fault?
Thanks everyone.

Just a little update -
I have tried locking/unlocking with the spare key and am able to do so and also arm/disarm the alarm - still no luck with the c/locking though.
Any clues??

Just a thought, not an official LR cure, I once had a similar problem on a Laguna years ago. I got a 300tdi 3dr M reg now, If you look on the drivers side footwell, there's a side facia panel next to your accelerator pedal,
pop the panel off and you'll see a spaghetti junction of wires and relays and connector blocks. There will be a black box clearly marked as "central locking" (might just drop out in front of you or might be hooked to the wall). Try unplugging the box, give it a blow and check for any obvious damage/faults, leave it out for a minute or two and reconnect. It might work it might not, you may need to just try a few different methods or replace the box, (part number should be on the box). It's also possible water has got in to the connectors. Did you have any indicating signs prior to it not working full stop or did it just pack up one day?

I wasn't aware of the "central locking box" mentioned above because I've never had any problems with mine, but if you do get it out I reckon it'd be worth checking for the following;
1. Dry joints
2. Burnt connections (due to arcing)
3. Relays (if there are any)
With regard to the relays, my advice is to give them all an abrupt tap or two with the handle end of a screwdriver, then try the box back in. If it works, then it's likely one of your relays are faulty. Giving them an abrupt tap can sometimes see them working for months on end but ultimately they will fail again so it's definitely worth tracking down the offending relay and replacing it.
