10mpg in britain, 13mpg in Europe????  , Yes, I wondered why too, but apparently Holland Germany & Belgium are flatter that here, which makes the difference in mpg.

And europe they dont insist on filling at least one lane with orange cones and diggers during every other mile.

Mike, Don't tell him that, he'll vannish back into his cave again. I've got a better idea, Barney, post a piccy of all your bits (oops!, that's LR bits) on here and I'm sure everyone will help you put them together again.

Try and get along to Billing or Stoneleigh. Hopefully that should provide new impetus. I had a motivation problem whilst fitting the new engine to mine and in the end I bit the bullet and took some time off work and spent a week in the garage.

Shows how engine efficiency improves, this beast used to do about 6mpghttp://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jul/20017279359682588335856.jpg
Mind you, it could pull a street of houses down!

Wow, the little lad could do 6 mpg. Thats one hell of a thirst.
If he can pull that lorry, Houses would be easy!

Yeeeeees, right.
In fact, if you keep him topped up with cola, and chocolate, he could probably do about 60 mph.
