I guess it was inevitable... my J reg 90 needs some welding to get it through its MOT in April. I fear this is just the beginning and anticipate having to splash out continually in a never ending fight against RUST! So it has occurred to me that I might be better off investing in a galvanised chasis. Hope someone out there can help me out.... something affordable or just some sound advice would be very much appreciated.

Hello. This post would be better anwered in the defender / 90 forum.

Anyway, I assume the rust is the chassis? Bad? If not too bad, not much to worry about and getting new galvy chassis is an expensive and IMHO unnessecary move. Weld yours up, get it strong and waxoyl it and it will give many good years of service to you I am sure.
