Hi. I've just bought my first 4x4 specifically for off-roading. An '89 Range Rover 3.5EFi bobtail pick-up. I had a P38 2.5DSE a couple of years ago so am not a total Land Rover virgin;) Going to be joining the BORDC so I may see some of you at their events.

This site seems to be a mine of valuable info and will be making the most of it in the future to help me in my new hobby.

Thats her then. 2" lift, polybushed etc. Some bigger tyres and a steering guard will be first on my shopping list.

First on the shopping list is a steering guard, then bigger tyres. It's got 2" lift, polybushed etc already so that a start I suppose.

Halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness. I did go to a local trial last month just to observe from afar. There was a good turn out so there must be plenty like minded folk up this way:D

Yep, my wife worked up there for a few years, based in Elgin to start with then moved to Forres..... now though we are based in Edinburgh... though still both do the odd project up there...

One of the ones she had most fun was the old wade road, she did the repair work on the bridges at Corgaff, some really good pics of her driving in snow in the 90 she had then... :)

Yep, my wife worked up there for a few years, based in Elgin to start with then moved to Forres.....

I stay in Aberlour. 10-15mins from Elgin. I also know the roads round Corgaff, my other toy is a 400bhp Evo VI so love going round that way with it when I can;)

Do you ever get back up this way at all?
