this is my first ever landrover , so dont know much about them, can any one tell me if i have a big problem with mine .i have just noticed that the rear offside is a lot lower than the nearside, if it has been left parked for a while. when you start up the engine,in a few minutes it rises up to the same level.. i have 2003 td5 auto discovery.. could i have an air leak in the suspension??? on the road it drives ok, or is it something to do with self leveling suspension??

You have a Leek in the Rear Air suspension Bag, Quite cheep and Very easy to Fix, do it or get somone to do it for you soon, It wares out the compressor early this is also very easy to fix but not as Cheep!

can there be any other problem that can cause my rear suspension to lower down on the one side, other than a leak in the air suspension bag?????????

Maybe, but probably not. The symptom can be quite intermittent and variable for a long time, but it gets steadily worse and, as V8_Disco says, it stresses the SLS compressor. Eventually you will have to change it because it will flop down completely and not come back up. The bags are about £90 and take half an hour to change in a garage - the SLS compressor takes only minutes to change, but that is circa £300!

Our TD5 2001, has had four compressors in the last two years, problem un known, main dealer has replaced all four, but has not found any fault??? Filter not changed, would this cause failure of compressors? Are compressors protected by fuses? If so where are they?

Thanks Roger The Reason I Asked, If Another Fault Can Cause The Problem?? Removed Wheel And Checked The Air Spring For Any Leaks, Could Not Find Any. But That May Not Go For Anything'''''
