Stalling Discovery

Hi all, I have a 1995 3.9 V8 Discovery with a small problem. It seems to idle erratically, especially when cold. So much so that if I pull up to a junction it often stalls.

It seems to be OK when warmed up although it does still hunt a little at idle.

Any obvious things I should be checking?

Would that predominantly give me these symptoms when the engine is cold? I would imagine (although I am no expert) that it would give problems all the time?

Stepper motor. Squirt it with carb cleaner helps a lot.

We had a simular problem with me dads disco 1, can't remember whet the problem was, i think it was ignition related, coil or summin:confused:
