When filling my disco, it takes ages, the main fill line fills up, then gargles down so I can refill it again. Filling the tank took 20 minutes, this is no exageration!!! Ive checked the 1" diameter line that opens out into the filler neck and its clear. I can blow down it with ease into the tank. Ive just been looking in the workshop manuel and it blabbers on about a ROV Roll Over Valve??? Any one had similar problems or know the cure!!!!

It certainly isn't venting, follow the tank breather pipe.

The breather pipe is a secondary tube that sits above the main filler pipe, if that is blocked then you get a slight overpressure and thus you have the problem you describe.
Unless the rollover valve has partially sealed itself, but i've never heard of one doing that before!
My feeling is that your breather pipe has got blocked, which i have heard of before:)

Most annoying thing when 'brimming' the tank is that most pumps have a timer cut off. I fell foul of this at a tesco's not so long back. They were doing a 'spend 50 quid in the shop, get 5ppl off at the pump' However this only works for continuous fills rounded up (if that makes sense). I had to get the machine to run twice which meant I had one large fill and one smallish fill which together would have made more ppl off but as they were separate I got skanked.

Even when I don't do this but fill the tank slowly to avoid any back-pressure stoppage, the damn pump cuts out after a certain amount of time and I have to get the staff to crank the thing up again. Meanwhile you can see the guy behind you getting annoyed at having to wait for me to fill up with 80 odd litres. :(

I would take issue with this - as you paid in one transaction, and you only filled one vehicle - so you have fulfilled their rules. Therefore they should honour their terms.

It would be worth a letter of complaint at least. If they are fitting a device to limit the size of purchase - I think that's illegal, as they are breaching their own offer. If they advertise there is a money off deal, they have to honour it or it's false advertising.
