Hi - I just joined today and have a problem, had my 1999 Discovery one week, today I can't get into the car either with remote or using the key. Had a problem with the rear suspension being down after tyres were fitted earlier in the week. How can I get into the car, then I can deal with the other problem.

When you tried to get in, did the doors make any sounds, did the lights flash on and off like normal.

Have you tried the rear door with the key?

Discos have an emergency key access code which invloves putting the key into the
drivers doorlock & turning back & forth a set number times.
If you contact LR with your vehicle details they should supply you with the right code.

Do you or anyone near you have a wireless doorbell? I had a similar problem where my key fob wouldn't work and had to use access code. Once I'd moved the car the key fob worked fine. Mine is aslo a 99MY.

Thanks I am learning, I have had the key fob checked and it is not sending a signal - battery ok. I am pursuing the dealer I purchased the car from to pay for a replacement key. Will certainly make sure I have the emergency access code.
