Is it or is it not, indescribably sad to have your forum user name on a sticker on your Landy's sun visor so that others can see it when its flipped down.

Or is it a useful idea for letting others know that you're a forum user when your out and about?

(yes, I know about the forum stickers, I just haven't got round to it yet) ;)

It's not sad, though I would say that, as I have my name on my polo shirt for off roading and my fleece, and I also have number plates with it on as well:).

It would confuse the 4 in hand drivers, they would assume you were referring to part of their harness and not a braking system equiliser. But you would meet some new friends.:)

You know how American military pilots are call each other by their call-sign....."Hello Maverick, how are you today?", "Thanks for asking Iceman, I'm just great" ?
Well, that's pretty sad so draw your own conclusions about forum names in real life.... ;)

Skip - channel 19 is the UK open call channel. If you want to chat you call on that channel then swap to another to chat. Channel 9 is emergency...

Perfectly happy with Widget, it's been a nickname all my life. But I can see how the self-appointed name 'Cannonball Bob' could be a little embarrassing...:D ;)

You're not looking forward to seeing your T shirt are you?

I know that, when someone comes behind and introduces themselves we switch to another channel.

Its kind of odd but if your travelling along main roads to areas with the a concentration of greenlanes you often meet other groups travelling along those main roads.

When on the lanes the lead vechicle also chalks up channel number so if we meet anyone we can chat without getting out, as its often p&** down with rain or can't get out cause sods law says you meet in the narrow bit.:D

Carbon Dioxide methink Bob. Its a witchety grub looking tube with a weak point of known overpressure. When the can is opened, the pressure drops below that in the widget and the weak point ruptures, injecting CO2 into the bottom of the drink aka beer. :D

And we know how Sargent Robert became CannonballBob. :D

Nah, that Ben Jovi bloke won it that year.
