rear electric window failure

rear electric window started to crunch and has now failed, took off door skin all electric working but brake like cable going round and round obviously broken away from somewhere can i repair or am I doomed ??
It seems to need rethreading back through its sleeve and onto window somehow

Yes, you need a new cable.
Try having a look through the past on here as there are several threads on a cheap way to do it, and possibly in the Tech Sect.
