We bought a freelander yesterday and on journey home it vibrates (alot) when slowing down from high speed. Has anybody got any suggestions why this could be happening, before I have to travel 70miles back to where i bought it from.

Depends where the virbation seems to come from, that gives different problems.
I'd suspect it sounds like it's from between the front seats.

It sounds as if it is coming from the front and the dash, it is loud enough to stop a conversation.

Does it make a worse noise going round corners, any banging?
The IRD is down there.

No banging, just vibrates alot when you take your foot off the accelerator at 50/60 mph. my first thought was wheel balancing but that usually occurs when accelerating?
