I have just got my first High Lift Jack (4ft with Defender adapter).

Can any one give me some advice on how to use it and where these jack-points are that it's supposed to fit into?

I have a Def 'Black' 110 Double-Cab with the cheq plate rear step at the back (which seems to have 2 holes about the right size but they have rubber plugs in them?) and at the front I have a steering guard fitted but I do not see any obvious holes for the jack.

Thanks once again (in advance)

the rubber plugs are to stop mud getting in them. There should be similar at the front, i dont think a steering guard changes jacking points.
Did you get a foot plate with the jack or have you made one? There was quite an interesting thread "jacks" that i started a few days ago, it could make interesting reading.

:) 1/ congratulations..

2/very carefully :) read the instructions, get to know how it works BEFORE you try and lift your car.. Allways know whats going on, handle in upright position, did I say be carefull :)

I dont have plugs in the back end of mine, but those sound like the right holes, they have pieces of steel tube welded into the chassis, cant miss em, front ones have a rectangular plastic plug, located just under where the bolts hold the bumper on..

btw, did I mention to be CAREFULL.. dont say you werent warned!! :)

If I made you paranoid :) GOOD !!!

Thanks guys, I'll have a look tomorrow for those holes in the front.

Yep, I am positively paranoid about using the thing so I'll be very careful. I have a foot plate as well.
