hi anyone have any ideas my front brakes come on when i turn a tight left or right ? its a pain to park. thanks kev..

Are you shore it is the brakes, or do you mean the car seems to slow down slightly when you make the turn?
If the latter, a characturistic of the vehicle... it's the drive system working.

hi there thanks for your reply it seems that the brakes come on when turning sharp left or right, ive had the car for 3yrs and it only drove on the rear wheels this problem as only been there since ive fitted a s/h box it drives great in a stright line but when the wheels turn the car slows its worse when parking

Your VC is seized. Probably what caused the problems in the first place.
Take the props off and it should feel better.

hi there again well ive taken off the rear propshaft (ive not got a socket for the front or not sure of size star bolt) and its great no more slowing down when turning its great so sod the rear prop who needs them any way,,, thanks for your help chris i owe you a drink good man,,,,,,...from a very happy freelander driver ( a 2wd one of course)

if you have only taken the prop off from between the rear diff and the VCU then you are still "driving" the VCU and could still be heading towards problems.
Take the lot off to be safe.
