Bought myself a 1996 discovery 1 nice drive but the good lady wants to listen to abba what radio cd/changer would be compatable with the disco dash switches any advice would be gratefull

Get yourself an after market unit. I got a Sony CDX-G410U. This comes with remote which I use all the time as it is easier than the stereo buttons (I can operate the remote by feel and it sits nicely behind the gear shifter) and is easier than the landrover dashboard buttons. Also has AUX and USB inputs and plays MP3s.

However, I have seen in other threads that you can get units to work with the landrover steering wheel controls (if yours is new enough for them).

Im pretty sure his 96, is like mine where the stereo controls are mounted around the dash cluster, as opposed to the steering wheel.

But I may be wrong....

the select buttons are mounted around the dash, but i will keep the sony in mind, much thanks
