Hi all have aquired a 1996 landrover 2.5tdi es discovery and have found that although I can get the diff lock to engage I cant get the lw gear ratio to engage. The gear box is automatic, I select neutral, applied hand and footbrake and tried to select low gear ratio but nothing, then when the selector appeared to pop into the right position there was no drive.
Would appreciate any clues as to what this is and what needs to be done.
