Disco 1, lost 2nd/4th and reverse

Hi all

Mrs pulled out the garage after filling up and no 2nd or 4th gear,

1st 3rd and 5th are fine and there are no noises when driving in the remaining working gears

Could it be a selector problem or something more costly?

1 month warranty is still remaining,although that only covers £150

Shes an R plate with 80,000 disco 1.

Assume its an R380 box

Any help/ideas gratefully received.

Common fault used to be the 2nd/4th selector fork would splay out and no longer grip the gear to slide it along the shaft and engage it. Possibly the same problem you've got.
