hello people ive just bought a 1995 discovery for towing my caravan its in very good condition however the battery light stays on all the time although not as bright as when you first turn the ignition on also when i went out on sunday there was a tiny amount of water by the rear side windows are these common the car dont have any sunroofs one last thing the gearbox jumps out of reverse so i have to hold it in reverse gear any help would be great thanks

For the battery light check the tension of the alternator belt. COuld be a couple of things but thats where I would start :)

Water leaks are pretty normal although usually down to sunroofs, so you should be able to solve yours, someone with a disco will be along shortly.
