Earlier in the summer [!] I spent a week or so in Northern France and Belgium. I noticed there appears to be a lot of off-road tracks/trails/routes particularly in the Ardennes area. As we were driving a Ford Focus, which isn't exactly the best off-road, exploration of the tracks was out of the question !
Over a few pints with friends we've decided to see if there is a possibility of taking our LR90's for an off-roading [long] weekend into the Ardennes area.
Does anyone have any experience of the legalities of off-roading in Belgium or France ?
Are there any maps available, comaparable to our O.S. maps ?
Does anyone have any off-road routes/maps marked up for the Ardennes area ?
Where can I obtain more info about off-roading in France/Belgium ?
