Rear side door window

My sister started to drop the nearside rear door window without first removing a sunblind on the window, result is the window went down then stopped went back up and now will not move. The window is electric.

So where do I start and what is likely to be wrong?

I have just removed the door panel on the car and found that the regulator cable has snapped, is replacing the regulator an easy job?

Yes its fairly easy a bit fiddly but not to hard, did mine in about 20 mins.

I have had a look in a haynes manual which says to lower the window inorder to remove it from the regulator, this may seem a daft question but if I cannot lower the window how do I manage that?

Worked out that the cable on the regulator has snapped, and the window is up. Can anyone advise how I now get the regulator out of the car?

My cable had snapped and the window was down so released the glass and taped it in the up position then released the mounting screws and removed the regulator ( thats the fiddly bit), putting it back is the reverse (as they say).

Thats my problem, I dont know how to remove the glass from its mounting with the window up. I was hoping someone on here would have the answer!

caunt you get in and cut the cable somehow? Thats what they did on my rear door.
