hi can any body tell me if the electric seats in a 300tdi es are fused seperatly or relays if so where are they ive got one seat working and one not any ideas:dunno1:

Hi Gaz,
The seats are powered seperately. The passenger side is powered off the ignition and the Drivers side is powered from the door switch on the drivers side door. the idea being that you can adjust the drivers seat without having the keys in the ignition. The relay packs for each seat are located underneath the respective seat.

I had a similar problem on mine, although both seats worked but not in all directions, eg passenger seat went forwards but not back. Solution was to prise out the switch and disconnect the rear multi connector - then take switch to a clean and 'tidy' place. The switch can then be dismantled and the contacts cleaned and lubed. I say take to a clean and tidy place because inside there are a lot of small springs and ball bearings, that you really don't want to lose. It was a bit fiddly but now the seat works fine in all directions, even up and down which it never did before!
