I think you press the channel buttons one at a time to enter the code, it should then come on. Is it flashing code?
If you have tried once and it dont work then disconnect the battery and start again.
Never done a Landy though.
Renault use the small wheel on the column controls to get correct number then press the button underneath to enter each number then press and hold on the last one.:)

Some radios only let you try a few times, then you have to leave it turned on for a couple of hours before it will let you try again. It security locks or goes safe.

Yes I do, if it's a Land Rover radio, Do you wish to know how to enter the code? if so let us know what model of radio u have.

On my radio it was a case of pressing preset 1, then using the up and down tuning buttons to enter the code. Press preset 1 to confirm numbers, and final setting.

Would this be a Land Rover Radio?

As you've posted on the Discovery Forum I guess it could be a Discovery between 1989 and 2008, that narrows it down to about 15 different models.

Is it Radio/Casette, Radio/CD etc?

One assumes it could be a UK model, but you may be anywhere in the world.
Of course we will have to assume that the radio to which you refer is a standard LR fit, not an aftermarket one, as you would have thought to mention this, I guess.

Answer: Try holding the "BND" button in for at least 5 seconds, the word "CODE" may appear if so then you enter the correct four digits. This works for radio/casettes in the 200Tdi's and some of the early 300Tdi's.
