Radio stays on when car is turned off

Hello All, ran into bit of a propblem yesterday with my 2003 disco. I turn the car off but the radio stays on, so does the power to the cigerate lighter. I have not checked any fuses yet, but something is wrong.

Also I just noticed my heated seats are not working, I am sure that is a fuss, but could it be releated.

Is that radio still on with keys in the ignition? If it is, take the keys out of the ignition and doe it turn off?

I had something similar with my seat Ibiza. the inbuilt radio would just turn itself on when the car was locked. I used to walk to my car in the mornings thinking "what type of c*nt is playing hard banging tunes at 07.00 in the morning???" then realise it was my little car that had obviously got bored in the night and turned the radio on for company:D

It went back to Seat many a time but they never were able to fix it - I simply had to resort to taking the fuse out.

just sounds like your ignition live to radio is actually permanant live.

Pull radio out and swap red and yellow over see if it helps. Is it an after market radio? If so this is probably the cause.

Dunno about the lighter though if the two problems are connected then its something wierd in the electrickery!
