v8 cutting out

my v8 runs fine for days then it will cut out ,no spark . leave for a day or so and it will start. can any one help. it is a standerd v8 not gased.

Could it be the spider unit, assuming its a 96 - 98 model?

Mine did the same a few months back and following those instructions I got it fixed. You can get the official by-pass plug from LR dealers for about £7. I got mine from Craddocks as they had stock and the dealer didn't, but price was the same.

Simplest things first, I had the same thing so I went for the coil, found I had loose connector, forget which one but I pulled them all off, cleaned them up and tighted with pliers. Put back together with a dab of Vaseline. Very quick job and no more cutting out.
