Hi
MOT tomorrow(cross fingers, touch wood, pray)
I replaced one of my reversing light bulbs with a beeper/bulb combination, would it fail on that?, or do I just revert back for the test?.

Regards.

Reversing lights are not part of the MOT mate.

I was thinking more on the lines, I was always led to believe reversing beepers could only be fitted to commercial vehicles.

PIA changing bulbs anyway with the bad joints/age thing.

Beepers are a legal requirement on commercial vehicles and I believe that they should be fitted if you are towing a trailer on vehicles above a certain age. Otherwise I think they are just an optional safety device that you can fit if you want to.

Hi

It failed, brake pipes & emmissions.

Went up on ramp, in drivers seat to assist, c*apped Meself, not a lover of heights.

Could have been a lot worse I think, 10 years old etc.

In on Wednesday for brake pipes, emmissions need a blow thru apparently LOL.

Regards.

Hi

The tester, who used to work for the ministry, checking the MOT stations before they made Him retire cos of being 60, said due to the characteristics of diesels, You dont overrev them, so sooty deposits build up.

He left a nice black patck on forecourt!!

He recomended, high rev, low gear work to clear it out, ready for retest.

Watched the display on his test rig, failed on all 3 criteria, cant remember criteria, too quick for Me, was in a trance, visions of banknotes dissappearing

Regards.
