Help,, I have an x reg freelander commercial with lets say a few probs, the major 1 that bugs me is that at cruising around 70-80 mph is great until you hit the slightest of inclines or declines in the road then i get a sudden loss of power, i have to pull in to the slower lanes kinda embarasing when over taking then all of a sudden it breaks through its probs and i get a boost of power it then hits the turbo and in a matter of second im at 100 mph and if i keep it ther generally it wont happen. This problem is so irritating because it happens so frequently it makes an hour and a half nip up the motorway seem like a life time. Also they dont seem to be related but i am no expert but the hill decent lights are on in orange they should blink on and of in green if the HD is engaged also i have a picture of an engine alight in orange i presume that this is an engine management light??? when my fuel light comes on i feel like im diving a christmas tree there are that many lights on lol. if any body could help with any thing i would be most greatful if and if any body wants to buy it its yours at a snip £1800 ono :-)

Sound slike the best bet would be to take it to a garage that can read the ECU. Read the fault codes, clear them and see if the problems come back.

Presumably its a td4 as you refer to the turbo? Sounds like an intermittant injector problem, with the power loss and engine management light on. When power is temporarily restored, does the light go out?

You will have to get a dealer to look at it but the first fault sounds just like a siezed wastgate on the turbo.Lawson
