I'd like to know whether my 1995 3.9L Discovery is already ODBII so that I could buy a code scanner, and if so, where would I find the connector?

Don't think it will work. My 1995 300tdi had the ODBCII port but it wasn't ODBCII Standard it used LR's own proprietry software for testbook etc

Thanks, sotal, :-)
But where is the port, anyway? I have a friend with a ODB II scanner which I could borrow just to see if it reads anything, but I need to find the port. You are probably right, because the manual also lists Testbook and does not mention ODB, but still, nothing to lose...

Mine was in the drivers side footwell, left hand side up above the pedals behind a bit of trim (above where the clutch would be)
Mine was an EDC model so it had an ECU. I'm not sure if it was just these that had it or not?

Thanks, I'll have a look later today.

it should look like a blue 4 pin female connector. A word of warning though to get a scanner or fault code reader adaptor for the disco is a pain and very expensive. Later models used a different adaptor which is more available.
