Hi folks, am new to this forum thing but have been messying about with my range rover for a few years now.
I'm a bit way laid by house and wife and new baby and work and and and..... just now, but am thinking about fitting a digger onto the back of my bobtailed range rover.
Just knocking ideas about, I mean, why not?
Any comments
Cheers.
Why not indeed? You will need some means of staying the vehicle though - at the very least you will need to lock the suspension but 'legs' would be better. If you can find a way of mounting a tractor backhoe these usually come with legs built in.

Yeah, I see where your going.
Maybe a three point linkage would be a solution, with the digger driven from the PTO. This way I could fit other implements too.
I may have to stiffen the chassis a bit though to take the twisting.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to dig at the side of the vehicle and fill a trailer I was towing.
I'd probably be looking at driving a big hydraulic pump from the PTO and running the digger and trailer hydraulics from it.
Still open to further suggestions, no matter how hair brained...
