Hi there boys & girls, well here it is, you've seen the trailer! you've read about it in the papers! - THE PASSION, THE TRIALS, THE CHALLENGES, THE ANGUISH, it's all absent from my report on JeboHatt 2008.
Follow the link, I'll be amazed if this works:

I've hosted the pdf doc on Google docs, but it looks as thiough I can only invite e-mail addresses to look at it, rather than just make it generally available as I'd hoped - WORK IN PROGRESS:(

Hi all, I'm trying another site for hosting this doc, could someone try the link and report back. When you click the link, you will be given the option of opening or downloading the doc, click download and it should work.

Hello Dave,
Yes, just downloaded it no probs, just going to read it now.
Hey, why not consider doing what I did, you seem to spend forever on your computer, get your own domain name and web site, much more fun.
I've just started up dating mine www.4x4-travel.co.uk (http://www.4x4-travel.co.uk) with my 2006/7 Tunisian trip report at www.4x4-travel.co.uk/07reportp1.html (http://www.4x4-travel.co.uk/07reportp1.html)
I use www.namesco.com (http://www.namesco.com) for my web hosts and domain name, about £30 pa I think and £50 every 2 years for the name.

Hi Dave,
Me again.
Souds like you had a good trip. The report make a good interesting read and the pics are good too. It bought back a lot of merories for me, even though I've not done Morocco, only Tunisia, most of the same things happen. As you say, it is so cheap once you hit Africa, and mostly the people are friendly.
Have you started to dream about the next one yet?
We're hoping to do Tunisia again in April 2009, we'll see.

Hiya Kevin, thanks for the info re having my own website I'd not really thought of it before as I hadn't got much to share with others, but now after the trip and the various other bit of Landy stuff I've done maybe it's worth thinking about.
Could I pm you for some advice re above??
On the subject of the trip, it was a big deal for mr to take this on, but to be honest what I saw, experienced and learnt has led me to believe that I could do more.
I need to think carefully about what I get involved in, but I would like to have some form of humanitarian element to it as well, rather than just a trip for me and a pal !!
I suspect people will think that sounds poncy, but I don't care. When you go to places like I have on this trip, it makes you really question the wastefullness of the Western European model of living. We throw away stuff without any thought and it just seems criminal by comparison to others who have nothing, but a mud hut and a donkey - no free education, medical care etc
Sorry if that sounds a bit soap-boxy:(
Cheers

Please do, I'd be glad to help where I can (kevin at 4x4-travel dot co.uk) edited to try to fool the spiders

Yeah, I must admit I took the soft route the first time, an organised trip, but then I did take the whole family, kids were 14 and 12 at the time.

With you all the way on that one fella, it concerns me when you hear some guys saying about these trips that they do and they just complain about the locals, you have to intergrate to get the most from the trip. Unfortunately most, not all, of the "guided" tours only meet the "westernised" locals, they are ok cos they get paid to be where they are as a tourist attraction.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Kevin

check those prices. the hosting is cheap enough but if you are right about the cost of the name its extorsion should be under a fiver a year for a .co.uk address.

You need to publish it to make it public. On your google doc page for that link click on "SHARE" (top right corner), then from the drop down menu that appears click on "Publish as webpage..." , choose what ever options it asks and it will then provide you with the public link for you to share out.

Hi there, unfortunately that doesn't worK.
That mode of operation does NOT apply to pdf docs, on Google Docs.
However it's now hosted elsewhere as well, so problem solved.
Many thanks for your input though,
Cheers

You know, you're probably right, but to be honest I didn't really think to phone my accountant to check exactly how much I am paying for which bit of the service.
