Hello chaps

I`m not very familiar with forums and this is only the second time I`ve ever posted on one, so bear with me. Woke up Saturday morning to find my Defender had been stolen during the night, and as I had owned it from new, and had modified it alot, I am now completely gutted.

This Defender is a 2005 County Hardtop (90) fitted with 5 black 17" Predator alloys with BF Goodridge AT`s (almost new), and it has also been fitted with a JE Developments 4.6 V8 making around 300bhp and 345 ft/1b of torque. The exhaust is a very special complete one off terminating just in front of both rear wheels and is very noisy when driving hard.

I dont recall anyone else carrying out this modification to a TD5 so the car should stand out like a sore thumb if it is offered for sale.

I would be eternally greatful if anyone on this forum would pass on any information if they see, or hear of any cars/parts offered to them which may have been taken off my Defender. You can send e-mail to me on lance@ojzengineering.co.uk

Thank you

Hi fellas

Thanks for the kind words chaps, heres a picture of it before I put my own stamp on it, and apart from the wheels and 3" side exit exhaust, it looked pretty standard.

The wheels were black 17" predators with BF Goodridge AT's and were as new, there was a fifth Predator wheel on the back door with no cover.

Above the tax disc in the windscreen there was a BARC sticker (British Automobile Racing Club), as I race a classic formula ford 2000, this would be quite a rare sticker on a Landy!

Thanks for your support chaps.

Sory to hear the news & hope you get the 90 back safe & sound. Not sure where you are but it may be a good idea getting in touch with local breakers/clubs etc.

Wishing you well. Paul.

Hi Paul

We are in Nottinghamshire and I have been told that 19 defenders were stolen in our area in the last month alone. Unfortunately I dont think I will ever see my Defender again as it was just too heavily modified, and from the outside it looked completely standard except for the wheels. The cops said that the usual outcome of this is that the car gets cloned, but this one will almost certainly be broken for spares because of the engine/drivetrain.

I am currently wrangling with the insurance company over valuation, any ideas?? Its not really something I had considered because I had no intentions of ever selling it (you know how it is).

Thanks for your concern Paul
