Wanted - Good Series 3 Gearbox Complte

Hi guys - pretty much as the title says - i am looking for a replacement gearbox for my 88" - which is jumping out of second gear.

for collection near somerset - or london - or even in between...please P.M me if you have anything...

find him on the greenlaneing section in wales

dont ditch the old one. Jumping out is common and as I understand it, it is a simple repair. Ive not done it yet, by mine jumps from 3rd on the overrun and I plan to sort it out during the rebuild.

I think i will stick with my original one - as i have covered alot of miles with it and most importantly i know it. I understand that it is an easy job - and will ljust to have to do all the research first before i dive in...

I'm rebuilding one with Daz at the moment. He had similar issues. the jumping out is due either to excessive end float on the gears or the whole shaft, or damage to the synchro unit. It's not poosible to tell which until the box is stripped.

I'll be taking photos of the reassembly to make an article on my blog.

Thanks SIDEEZ - great offer - but i think i will go down the route of rebuilding when snagger does his rebuild...
